Home Sugar Home

I live a far way from home, all the way in the Bay Area, which I love but sometimes I get so homesick for the simple luxuries of home-life. Such as my dads cooking and baking. Cucumber salad, macaroni salad, chocolate cake with homemade icing, chocolate chip cookie bars, peanut butter cookies, chocolate cake cookies, Jewish apple cake, and so many more things. Everything he makes tastes like heaven. I was sitting in my living room after a long day of nannying and I looked out the window and there was a package sitting on my front door step. My dad sent me a package of homemade chocolate cake cookies, which taste like chocolate cake but in cookie form. Also he enclosed a note from himself and my 2 1/2 year old brother. I poured myself a huge glass of milk, and sat down adn ate 6 cookies in a row and savored each one of them. Delicious!

I love hiking, I don't get to go as much as I would like but when I do, I am in my element. I love the warm sun beating on my back, the unknown terrain upahead and of course the best part when you reach your destination and get to soak in the beautiful view. My boyfriend also loves hiking and he can get pretty intense, always pushing me to go farther, harder, faster. And... i do keep up, trying to hide my bright red face, my panting and gasping for air, while hes basically running to the next little hill on the trail.

When it comes to hiking wardrobe, I've got NONE. I am going this weekend and looked up some pieces for some inspiration. Of course if I tried to wear any of these gorgeous outfits a.) i would ruin them miserably and b.) my boyfriend would laugh at me until I wore what he always suggests, some old, durable, practical (and ugly as sin) pants, my ugly old brown boots, and a shirt that will stand being pulled at my bushes and the rough brush. Wish me luck, I'll be doing my secret back-off dance to ward off any mountain lions and other unwanted creatures.

Hopefully I'll get my camera fixed so I can upload some pics from my adventure.

Fascination with French Women

As a college student minoring in French, I have always admired everything French; French film, French wine, French fashion but especially, and although most of you would feel French fries would be the last thing on my list, its the French women who really mesmerize me. Their aura of class is so intriguing, its that "je ne sais quoi?". Trying to emulate these creature of perfection is hard but after some research (not as difficult as you may think, apparently I am not alone in my obsession with French women) I found a nice compilation of inspiring photos of those French beauties.
